Wordpress Contests

There are two contests available now in the WP Community, one for design and the other for developing a plugin.

Sandbox Designs competition, a theme competition where designers will only be working on the Sandbox Theme CSS. Thousands of dollars in prizes.

WordPress Plugin competition. Brought to us by Weblog Tools Collection. Their blog tracks all the entries, and if you plan to participate, go to the Plugin directory to submit your code.
