<description>	ommon problem that is often last checked when troubleshooting a website is the browser cache. What ever your browser is, it uses a cache to store temporary data of sites you frequently visit or had just visited and uses it to display those pages in your browser much quickly.
The problem however is that sometimes, the browser isn&#8217;t quick enough to reflect changes on your site. And one of the more common problems when you are a webmaster and you update your site frequently via ftp is that the url doesn&#8217;t reflect the current state of the site quickly. For example you uploaded a new stylesheet and you go to the page with that style at www.pagewithstyle.com, sometimes the style change isn&#8217;t applied immediately, but when you check pagewithstyle.com without the &#8220;www&#8221;, it reflects the changes you made.
So one more tip for your book, always clear your browser cache every time you make changes on your online pages and do it first before troubleshooting anything, it will save you a lot of headaches in the future. Instructions on how to clear your cache the quick way after the jump.

	Internet Explorer

To reload a page and bypass the cache:

either: Hold the Control key, and press F5.
or: Hold the Control key, and click the Refresh button on the toolbar.

To completely clear the cache (see note above):

Click on &#8216;Tools&#8217; and then &#8216;Internet Options&#8217; and choose the &#8216;General&#8217; tab. Then click on &#8220;Delete&#8230;&#8221; under &#8220;Browsing history&#8221;. In the &#8216;Temporary Internet files&#8217; section, click &#8216;Delete Files&#8230;&#8217;. You will then get a dialogue box asking if you want to delete just the temporary files, or all offline content. Choose the latter and click &#8216;OK&#8217;.

To change cache settings (only do this if you are reasonably confident of what you are doing):

	Selecting &#8216;Tools&#8217; → &#8216;Internet Options&#8217; → &#8216;Temporary Internet files&#8217; → &#8216;Settings&#8230;&#8217; allows you to make advanced configuration changes to the cache.

There is an option labeled &#8220;Check for a new version of stored pages:&#8221; This does not bypass the cache, it merely determines how often the browser asks if there is a newer version available.

	&nbsp;Konqueror

To reload a page and bypass the cache:

	either: Press F5.
or: Click the Reload button on the toolbar.
(Unlike other browsers, Konqueror seems to bypass its cache whenever you reload a page.)

To completely clear the cache (see note above):

From the &#8216;Settings&#8217; menu, select &#8216;Configure Konqueror&#8217;. Scroll down to select the icon labeled &#8216;Cache&#8217;, and click the button labeled &#8216;Clear Cache&#8217;.

	Mozilla family

This includes Firefox, Netscape Navigator (versions 6.x and 7.x) and SeaMonkey.

To reload a page and bypass the cache:

either: Hold down the Control key, and press F5. Alternatively, hold both Shift and Ctrl and press R. On an Apple Mac, use the Command key instead of Control.
or: Hold down the Shift key, and click the Reload button on the navigation toolbar.

To completely clear the cache (see note above):

From the &#8216;Edit&#8217; or &#8216;Tools&#8217; menu, choose &#8216;Preferences&#8217; or &#8216;Options&#8217;. Expand the &#8216;Advanced&#8217; options and choose &#8216;Cache&#8217; or &#8216;Privacy&#8217;. Click the button called &#8216;Clear Cache&#8217;.
In newer versions of Mozilla Firefox, you can easily clear the cache, history and cookies: Hold down the Control and Shift keys, and press Delete (or Del), then choose what you want to remove. Or from the &#8216;Tools&#8217; menu, select &#8216;Clear Private Data&#8217;.
For older versions of Mozilla Firefox, go to &#8216;Tools&#8217; → &#8216;Options&#8217; and click on &#8216;Privacy&#8217; (picture of a key) in the sidebar of the window that pops up. Click the &#8216;Clear&#8217; button that is next to the word &#8216;Cache&#8217;.

To disable the cache permanently (only do this if you are reasonably confident of what you are doing):

Click on the word &#8216;Cache&#8217; and tell the computer to allocate 0 KB to store the cache in.

	Opera

	Reloading a page:

Opera does not appear to have an option to forcibly bypass the cache, so if a normal refresh does not seem to work, you may want to try one of the following:

Empty the cache completely (see below).
Click edit this page, and save the page without making any modifications (this doesn&#8217;t affect the page history).

	To completely clear the cache&nbsp;:

From the &#8216;Tools&#8217; menu, choose &#8216;Preferences&#8217;. Expand the &#8216;Advanced&#8217; options and choose &#8216;History&#8217;. Click the button called &#8216;Empty now&#8217;.
Alternatively, you can easily clear the cache, history and cookies: From the &#8216;Tools&#8217; menu, choose &#8216;Delete private data&#8217;. Click &#8216;Details&#8217;, make sure that &#8216;Delete entire cache&#8217; is selected, and then choose any other data you want to remove.

To disable the cache permanently (only do this if you are reasonably confident of what you are doing):

From the &#8216;Tools&#8217; menu, choose &#8216;Preferences&#8217;. Expand the &#8216;Advanced&#8217; options and choose &#8216;History&#8217;. Click on the dropdown for &#8216;Disk Cache&#8217; and select Off.

	Safari

To reload a page and bypass the cache:

	for version 3 or newer:
either: Hold down the Command keys, and press R.
or: Click the Reload toolbar button.
(In Safari 3, &#8220;regular&#8221; reloads will always bypass the cache. [1])
	for version 2 or older:
either: Hold down the Command and Shift keys, and press R.
or: Hold down the Shift key and click the Reload toolbar button. (This may not work in all versions of Safari)

To completely clear the cache (see note above):

From the &#8216;Safari&#8217; menu, choose &#8216;Empty Cache&#8230;&#8217; or hold down the Option and Command keys and press E.

To disable the cache permanently (only do this if you are reasonably confident of what you are doing):

Quit Safari by choosing &#8216;Quit&#8217; from the &#8216;Safari&#8217; menu, or by holding down the Command key and pressing Q.
Open a Terminal window by double-clicking &#8216;Terminal&#8217; within the &#8216;Utilities&#8217; folder, which is within the &#8216;Applications&#8217; folder.
Type the following commands, which are case-sensitive, each followed by the Enter key:

	rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/Safari
	touch ~/Library/Caches/Safari

Quit Terminal by choosing &#8216;Quit&#8217; from the &#8216;Terminal&#8217; menu, or by holding down the Command key and pressing Q.
	Relaunch Safari.

	Flock

To completely clear the cache (see note above):

Go to the Toolsmenu and click on Options
Go to Privacy and then, under Privacy, click on Cache
	Click on Clear Cache Now

To all clients of demonhale.com, please bear with us for a while for these reasons, we are also in the process of making back-ups to the client files and records, and transferring everything to a new computer system as the old system is expiring (burnt VC and flashed BIOS).
We are also celebrating our 2nd year anniversary for this month of August. August 7 is the exact date demonhale has been conceived. So when we go back again online, we will be offering some promos for all of you.

<description>	t has been several years that scientists have been looking for renewable sources of energy. The two front-runners are wind and solar energy. Although current crop of cars are hybrids of fuel, electric, pneumatic or any combination of both, add to that the environmental means of using ethanol as fuel, ethanol which is produced by sugarcanes and other vegetations, none of them was as controversial and most talked about as compared to Solar Energy.
What made solar source of energy unsuccessful up to the present is the steep cost it has to have it installed and implemented for the mass consumers. The factor is efficiency over cost.

Click Here to Learn More on How OLEDs Work

So what does OLED have to do about this? Current displays for little electronic devices such as your mp3 players now have colorful displays. Gone are the days of the old black LCD with the back light of amber, green or most currently blue and white. These new colorful displays are chosen because they attract buyers, and they are cheaper to produce. OLEDs are Organic Light-Emitting Diodes. The basic principle is that they spray tiny organic elements - the diodes - towards a thin plastic film, in the same way an ink jet printer sprays ink on paper. When electrical current excites these diodes, they glow. Different frequencies, emits different colors. The result is a thin lightweight display that is as bright as your computer monitor or TV&#8217;s display, and in the near future, you can fold or roll your OLED displays, imagine what your mobile phone or portable video players be like.
What&#8217;s making waves now however is that they discovered the opposing effect of the process. In special cases, applying light to the diodes of the OLED, produces current. Scientists discovered, they work similarly as traditional solar cells do.
Currently, these traditional solar cells are based on silicon semiconductor technology, which are delicate and too expensive to mass produce. OLED solar cells are easy to make, manufacturing costs are lower. The electricity-generating polymer materials in OLED solar cells however are formulated differently than their light-emitting counterparts, so you won&#8217;t see a combination of a solar cell which is also a display.

September 11 was used by the Government to Lobby for ways for them to get their hands on our personal information and data to allegedly protect us from the terrorists. However, I feel the next law to pass congress is for consumer protection &#038; rights against online marketers. Several Corporations are already targeted for the misuse of their gathered information.
It&#8217;s been hard for consumers to claim damages from the loss of private information because of the need to show losses on monetary aspects. The CFAA (Computer Fraud &#038; Abuse Act) already have successes in protecting plaintiffs, but on most privacy cases, this is difficult to show.
A solution that comes to mind is through initiatives done by the web industry. Privacy Rules &#038; Standards should be formulated by Trade Associations. However bleak the prospects for privacy protection online, some already exploits this privacy. It goes both ways, but thats a whole different story.

<description>	ost people nowadays own a digital camera or digicam for short. Fast development of materials and components for making these cameras are becoming cheaper by the minute, manufacturing costs are lower thus digicams become much affordable.
Consumer models of these digital cameras already delve into the semi-professional range, although still being labeled as a generic point-and-shoot.
Here are some primer (basic introductions) to effectively choose and use a digital camera.
TIP 1. Buy the Right Camera
Don&#8217;t just settle for the &#8220;Auto&#8221; mode, it can&#8217;t be the end-all solution to taking better pictures. Most modern digicams have more than a point-and-shoot function. It now comes standard for these cameras to have numerous shooting modes and manual options. These shooting modes take into consideration all the situations you might find yourself in when taking pictures.
TIP 2. Long Zooms don&#8217;t mean Squat
Not unless your digicam has a carl-zeiss lens or lens attachment option, don&#8217;t be swayed by the built-in long zooms of some of these digital cameras. It does look cool to have longer zooms, but their main boon is that these long zoom cameras often collect less light thus forcing its shutter to open for a much longer time. Moving or Shaking the camera while taking a picture at long zoom results in blurred pictures. Shorter zoom digicams don&#8217;t have this problem.
	TIP 3. The Flash
If you have money to spare, and don&#8217;t mind a bulkier camera, then get a digicam with a hot shoe. A hot shoe is a flash attachment slot which allows you to fit an external flash that uses its own power source and minimizes the red eye effect. Some may argue that theres always photoshop to cure the red eye, but stronger flash makes vibrant and less washed-out pictures when you know how to use it.
	TIP 4. More Flash
If you happen to want smaller cameras without the hot shoe, just make sure that the model you choose has its flash as far away as possible from the lens, This gets rid of the glaring and red eye. New cameras already have a cure for the dreaded red eye, see the cameras that flash a few times before getting the picture, these are the cameras that have a pre-flash function to condition your eyes and open the iris larger before it takes the picture to get rid of the red eye.
	TIP 5. Spare Energy
Prioritize the purchase of spare batteries. Also, always charge your spare ones, remember that digital cameras belong to the power-hungry gadgets/devices list.
	TIP 6. Memory
Use high capacity memory cards. It is now more affordable to purchase these high capacity cards as compared in the past. It is always good to just carry for example a 4 Gigabyte SD card than carrying a bunch of eight 512 Mb ones, reloading your camera with memory cards takes the advantage off of reloading the same way as the heydays of film cameras.
TIP 7. Why buy a 6 Megapixel Camera when You&#8217;ll just use 3?
Getting high capactiy memory cards means you don&#8217;t need to worry about the amount of pictures you&#8217;re going to shoot. Always set your camera to the maximum resolution. It&#8217;s simply foolish to think of getting more photos as possible by shooting at a lower resolution. A 6 Megapixel Camera at maximum resolution makes better poster prints than a 6 Megapixel Camera set at 640&#215;480 resolution.
TIP 8. These signal Graphs are not from E.T.
A commonly ignored feature of most modern digicams is it&#8217;s histogram function. Learn to read it. It shows you if your shot is either under or over-exposed. A simple way to understand it is that if the shot is under-exposed the histogram shows a curve skewed to the left, while an over-exposed shot skews to the right.
	TIP 9. Bag it
It&#8217;s convenient to have one, so why not get one? It allows you space to carry extra batteries, memory cards, AV Cables, a charger or an external storage device. Choose a water-proof ones for the rainy days. Carrying some Ziploc could prove useful at these times.
	TIP 10. Shooting Tip
Your camera sensor isn&#8217;t that too advanced yet. It can&#8217;t record all the light the human eyes can see. If you have a bright background and a dark foreground, the digicam will compromise by either getting the foreground exposure right or the backgrounds exposure. It normally can&#8217;t do both. My personal tip is to use pre-focus. Most digital cameras have a pre-focus that has an exposure lock feature accessed through half-pressing the shoot button before actually taking the picture by fully-pressing the shoot button. In bright background dark foreground instances, lock the exposure to the background then move the target to the foreground and use a forced-flash. This technique can be summarized as &#8220;fill-flashing&#8221; or &#8220;flash-fill&#8221;.
	TIP 11. The Strength
Learn your Cameras limitations, some take mediocre standard shots but takes exemplary macro shots. Most digital cameras with built-in flash can&#8217;t reach that far so don&#8217;t shoot zoomed images at low lighting conditions.
TIP 12. The Strength of Your Arms
A normal human being cannot hold a camera longer than 1/30th of a second without shaking, that&#8217;s why it&#8217;s always a good option to put it on a flat surface or anchoring it when taking pictures. You might also want to look for an extra feature of image stabilizer, but the easiest solution is to invest on a tripod.
With this simple tips, I hope I turned you into an informed consumer. Now go buy that digital camera you&#8217;ve been lusting for.

<description>	o many hosting providers today offer site-building tools and ready to install e-commerce softwares. An added arsenal for you is to heed the following tips when delving in the world of e-commerce.
	Preparation
	1. Compare Costs. Monthly hosting fees and Annual Domain fees are just the tip of the iceberg. You might also need a Merchant Account if you intend to process credit cards and receive payments online. This would add another monthly fee, or most merchants add a percentage commission or processing fee to purchases or a fixed per-transaction fee. Most merchant accounts also withholds a reserve against charge-backs (disputed or reversed transactions).
	2. Do the Paper Work. Once securing a domain name, setup your merchant account. Even if your business has a retail location, you may need a different one to accept card-not-present transactions. Consider a consultation with your accountant and attorney to find out if expanding your sales to new regions will have a tax or legal implications.
	The Design
	3. Planning. Know your niche. Learn as much as you can about your customers, develop a clear vision of how your site will meet their needs.
Put together some mock-ups even on paper, and decide on your sites needed pages and sections before actually getting too excited designing or preparing how it looks or uploading your catalog. This is not the time for it yet.
Different people use your site differently, some prefer browsing based on manufacturers or brand, some on product categories, and some simply use your sites search feature.
	4. Apply best practices in design. Common principles of an effective web site and e-commerce sites design are well documented at these times. A plethora of examples and books including web sites like www.alertbox.com have expert advice for you. Find your competitors site to see what they do well - and not so well.
	5. Cover the Basics. As a perennial tip I give to budding designers is the KISS principle, (Keep It Simple Stupid). Don&#8217;t make visitors work hard. Make sure your site is easy to use. Remember that other sites are a one-click away.
This is a commonly ignored fact when people hire a professional web designer. Designers should not only make things pleasing to the users eyes, but also tackle the usability issues and user psychology with colors and placement of page elements and navigation.
Make sure your pages are fast-loading, and easily readable, but don&#8217;t skimp also on important product information that will help customers make an informed purchase. Use simple principles like thumbnails of products which keeps the page size down. It presents products and options all at once but lets the customer see more details by clicking on the thumbnail of the item if they are interested with it.
	6. Include Critical Information. Every site not only e-commerce sites need to provide a contact information, payment options, and a Privacy Policy. If you also have a physical store or business location, be sure to provide addresses, business hours, maps and directions. Don&#8217;t forget to include an About Us page describing the company and providing bios of key personnel. You can also add pages for customer testimonials, news, announcements, and order status.
	7. An Informal Usability Testing. A quick sanity, usability and accessibility test on your site and its design and organization is a must. Show it to friends, family, or business partners who hasn&#8217;t seen it before and is willing to give an honest opinion.
Ask them to figure out how to find interesting products or pages, and let them try to place an order. Repeat the process with a different set of people or hire a focus group and you can quickly do away with your sites short comings and oversights.
	8. Check Before Launch. Nothing says unprofessional like broken links, spelling errors, missing graphics and other small but obvious glitches. Make sure you catch them before going live. Recheck after launching to make sure nothing changed or was left out before preview to a Live Site.
The easiest way to do this is to either get a consultant to help and guide you along the way, or hire a competent web designer.
	Time for Launch
	9. Gain Visibility. You don&#8217;t actually really need to hire a Marketing Firm or purchase Search-Engine submission tools. It&#8217;s not hard to submit your site manually to the big SE&#8217;s (Search Engines) like Google, Yahoo and MSN Live Search. You can also get directory listings whether free or paid. Driving traffic to yours site can be the most daunting and time-consuming task. A good tip is to consider cross-listing your products in high-traffic sites and marketplaces like eBay or Amazon.
	10. Keep everything Fresh. Take advantage of seasonal opportunities, refresh your content regularly, consider running some promotions and specials so that visitors get a habit of returning to see what&#8217;s new. Remove dated materials when sales or special offers end.
	11. Build Customer Relations. It&#8217;s often much easier and efficient to service repeat customers than acquiring new ones. That&#8217;s why getting visitors to sign-up for e-mail notification or get your feeds help in these cases. They can receive offers, promotions and discounts being valued customers. Find ways to go beyond just fulfilling individual transactions.
	12. Monitor. Always monitor your site statistics. Check pages often visited, how many bought something on these pages, or how many just leave. Check products that sell well.
These are just some of the ways to get you started. Now use if for better results. Good Luck!

This would add another monthly fee, or most merchants add a percentage commission or processing fee to purchases or a fixed per-transaction fee. Most merchant accounts also withholds a reserve against charge-backs (disputed or reversed transactions).</p>
<p><strong>2. Do the Paper Work.</strong> Once securing a domain name, setup your merchant account. Even if your business has a retail location, you may need a different one to accept <em>card-not-present</em> transactions. <description>	f you&#8217;re an old school type of guy/gal, who previously thought Tape Decks or even Vinyl wouldn&#8217;t go obsolete, then these tips are for you.
You simply don&#8217;t want to lose all your precious collections, so you up and decided that since you frequent the internet a lot and call your self a &#8220;tech-savvy&#8221; person (geek), you&#8217;ll convert them all to digital.
Most modern Computer System already have digital as well as analog inputs built into them, all you need now is the software to do its trick. If you opt for a more professional and industry grade product then you wouldn&#8217;t lose with Tracer Technologies DC Live/Forensics. If you&#8217;d rather support the OS (Open Source) movement, there are a bunch of software out there for your perusal. But take in mind the following guidelines to base from.
	1. Recording Source Audio

Be sure that the software your using has a real-time recording level meters. Usually, levels above 0dB (decibels) can produce sporadic digital distortion.

2. Prepare the Goods
Having a spectrum analyzer on your software enables you to adjust beforehand the impurities and weakness of the recorded audio. Thus increasing the overall quality of your recording. Narrow frequency peaks and clipped audio points can be easily removed at this point.
	3. Filter those dirt
Make sure your software has a specialized tool for isolating fixed-frequency noise.
	4. Sort out the Bugs
Every audio editing software have some sort of a &#8220;click &#038; pop&#8221; filter. They may operate differently but look for the settings and options with default or pre-programmed presets for filtering out different types of impulse noise.
	5. Mute the Noise
Finally after the impulse noises are sorted out, the last noise to think about is Broadband Noise. Broadband Noise have esoteric, nonintuitive controls, most of them however can be auto-configured by feeding in a small sample of your source materials continuous noise. It won&#8217;t make the audio super clean, but the noise left will be barely noticeable.
	6. The Final Straw
Listen carefully to the audio and all the major noise is gone. There maybe some occasional hiss, pop or crackle that needs sorting out, but most audio editing software has a default presets for those minor nuisances.
You can always adjust manually through your softwares equalizers, specialized filters, and enhancers. Taken meticulously, your dull recordings will sound new again.
